The Three Muses Challenge - Games

The Three Muses Challenge this week is games. Games we like to play, games people play, etc. I have always loved this woman by Emma Sandys. It is called Revealing her Hand. I am sure we have all had moments in our life where we have had to put on the poker face and hold on not to reveal "our hand." I am figuring this woman likes all games. She will play just about anything and usually wins.
Let the games begin...

  3. An inspired and inspiring entry, Elizabeth. I've always admired people who could accomplish a "poker face". My face is always easily readable, like an open book! This is beautifully done, as always. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Oooooh what clever blending of games Elizabeth to make up this wonderful piece. Your lady cleverly placed in the foreground does have a great poker face, I should hate to play a game of Canasta with her!!!

  8. Elizabeth,

I am quite taken with this image. I especially like the contrast of the color image within the sepia ground.

  13. I am a little late, WOW, a Bear in your neck of the woods. Black Bears live in the mountains of Idaho. They would eat the Huckleberries at our church camp. We would pick the berries and keep an eye open for the Bears. I have a few Black Bear stories.
I love your journal pages and the game page too. They are all really fun to look at. I love all the color and of course they are lovely.
    Have a great day, Mary

  17. Elizabeth, this is an amazing piece of art. I love the richness of the colours and the shadowy chess pieces in the foreground. Yes, the lady does have something of a poker face - a little bit like the inscrutable Ms Mona Lisa!
