This week for my freebies I thought I would share these wonderful bird prints from Edward Lear. He was a British illustrator. He was known for his poetry and limericks. I happen to like his renderings of these tropical birds. Most of these date around the 1830's.
I figure it has been so hot out - almost tropical here in the south and other parts of the country. I have dreamed of a nice tropical isle with a cool breeze. Some nice waiter to bring me a cool drink while I enjoy the tropical breeze and watch the colorful birds.
Okay I can dream... Please make sure to double click on these so you can enjoy the beautiful work. Meanwhile, a nice ice tea awaits me...
Thank you for these wonderful bird images. I've been on a bird kick of late. In fact, my challenge this week at The Three Muses is "Birds - Exotic and Othwerwise". (See my blog for the Three Muses entry this week, and another for next week).

ReplyDeleteOh Elizabeth these are wonderful. I printed them out on a faint grey paper and will frame them for my studio. The colors are beautiful. What talent Edward Lear possessed. Thank you and may the tropical breezes flow over you and that nice waiter shows up! Sharon
