Yesterday after a beautiful and very moving military service we interred Daddy at Arlington Cemetery. He would have loved it. We love and miss him very much!
That's lovely, Elizabeth - and so amazing that he will be at Arlington. We had a military for my dad, with Marines there to play taps and fold the flag, so I think I have a little bit of an idea about how your day was yesterday. It makes you so proud, doesn't it, of them and of our country.
What a somber, dignified and stirring image. Such an appropriate place for your dear father. I hope each day gets just a little bit easier for you. I promise the pain will eventually subside and be replaced with pride, love and wonderful memories.
Your comments are very much appreciated. I look forward to them. I try to answer any questions and reply to comments as quickly as possible. Please feel free to leave me your email so I can do so.
So very lovely Elizabeth. I am thinking of you and your family and wish you all gentle days ahead. Love, Jamie
