Across the planet
Today my Soul Journal group was having a blog party. I went to several blogs to check it all out. One of the blog gals is Kerin in Australia, her blog is A little bit of Everything. I was so distressed visiting her. I have read in the paper, and seen on the internet news sites, and even exchanged emails with some of the art girls in Australia about the massive wildfires they are having there. Nothing, and I mean nothing prepared me for the koala's in Kerin's blog. Please take a visit to her blog and read what the fires have done to these and other sweet creatures. The pictures are amazing. Prayers are definitely in order. Sometimes we forget that disasters like this harm everything in their wake. Thank you Kerin for the updates.
Thank you so much for helping to raise the awareness of what has been going on. Thanks to your efforts and those of others I have had close to 100 people visit my blog today (normally I am lucky for 10 a week - need to keep up with it more).
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog, and leaving a comment! You have a wonderful blog..I love it!!
ReplyDeletei discovered kerins blog yesterday
ReplyDeleteso i will be following along now
sam's story (just 1 of many from this devestating time) is amazing..
kind of like smokey the bears from 50 some years ago in america's big wild fire of that era.
awareness is important!
I saw this on the news & was so touched by this firefighter's efforts to hydrate this poor little Koala. It's so sad to see the devastation there. Thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention.
ReplyDeleteLoved to see your kindred spoirit about Sam who we know now is a Girl not a boy Koala.
ReplyDeleteAre you aware that this is truely unique action of a Koala drinking water let alone from a drink bottle with a human. Koala don't drink water they gather their fluid intake from Gum Leaves. That makes this picture extremely rare. Mary from Kerang Victoria Australia.
