Little Tiny Houses - 2 by 2's

These little 2 by 2 inch houses I have been making from scraps from my art table. In my clean up process I did not have the heart to toss some of the smaller scraps so I ended up making these. [They are in a slide folder so if you enlarge it and look the lines are the plastic sleeve they are in.] They take no time at all and seem to satisfy the creative urge I have had but know I can't start anything big right now. After making them I realized I definitely have house stuff on the brain...

  2. I'm totally in love with these colorful houses. To think they came from scraps is even better.

Since we both seem to be cleaning and organizing (what IS it about this time of year?), I'm going to have to make some of these beauties. I, too, have a fondness for houses.

I use my slide folders for smaller paper art, too. I've even stuffed them with found objects and sewn around the individual tops. Love that you use them, too.

  5. These would make great fabric. If you could print them out you could use them in an art quilt. Then you could even create bigger or different ones in addition to them.
I just LOVE THESE!!!!!! They are adorable.
So, are you still thinking about whether you should move or not?
Been dreaming about anything to do with transportation, trains, planes, driving somewhere? Just curious, you know me. :)Bea

  14. These are sort of like little quilt blocks. You could collage them together on a large canvas to build a quilt-like artwork. Hmmmm, gives me ideas!
