The Queen's Jester

This week the Art Creations Friday Challenge was this lovely lady. She reminded me of a Lady in Waiting with a bit of humor so I turned her into the Queen's Jester. She is on her way to the country house to entertain the Queen and her Ladies on their girl's weekend.

The background and turtle I got from Holliewood Digitals at Deviant Scrap. The border is from Tumblefish Studio. I bought several of their digital packages and have had a ball playing with them in my spare time. I am a little late to the party this week, but better late than never. Hope you enjoy this digital collage.

Art Creations Friday - Dreaming

Dreaming

This week the Art Creations Friday Challenge was the beautiful image of the girl in the straw hat. The first thing I did was use photo shop to color her all up. A pink gown with a yellow scarf, some lovely flowers in her hair. I then use the texture background from a few weeks ago they had given us along with some text, another texture background of my own, and a tree photograph I had taken.

She looks like she is off on a nice walk in the woods, followed up with a picnic and an afternoon with her special someone. Laying on a blanket looking up at the sun dappled trees. Enjoy this wonderful weather.

Art Creations Friday - The Gatherer

This week the Art Creations Friday Challenge was to use this darling image of this little girl. I decided to color her dress pink and go from there. I created this forest floor scene and then threw in the goat from the Graphics Fairy just because. It all reminded me when I was little and my grandmother would give me a bucket. Then she would send me out into her yard on some mission to gather something, peas, flowers, grasshoppers...anything to keep me from underfoot. I am calling this The Gatherer in her loving memory.

This week the theme for the Art Creations Friday Challenge was this beautiful freebie I gave out some time ago. I was so honored they used one of my freebies. Of course, this is one of my favorite images and I had to meet the challenge.

I decided to do a springtime digital. Some of my best Spring's were spent with my first husband in Paris. There is just something about that city that makes my heart skip a beat. Everyone should put on their bucket list a trip to Paris in the Spring!

Art Creations Friday - Waiting

It has been a busy week full of little time consuming things. I was finally able to do a little art work this morning. Art Creations Friday gave us a beautiful background to work with this week for their challenge. Feeling in a gypsy mood this week I used Leighton's image of this beautiful woman. I have been waiting for someone for two days so I am titling this one "Waiting". Hope you enjoy!

Art Creations Friday - Angels All Around Us

This week the Art Creations Friday challenge was this image of an angel. I really enjoy working with angel images. They can lead you just about anywhere. I have been trying to make Bukeh images with hearts and stars etc. for backgrounds. I am slowly getting the hang of it.

My digital collage is about the fact that there are angels everywhere. All around us if we are willing to be open to the idea. Maybe they are just the person who happens to show up when you are walking through the door with an arm full and get the door for you, or the person who waves you out of the parking lot in rush hour, or the person who compliments you on something you are wearing after you have had a bad morning. My collage says open your heart and mind and they will find you.

This has been a long couple of days. This week Art Creations Friday gave us not only gave us this sweet little girl image to do something with, but a fabulous background. I decided after all the time I have spent on the phone with my internet carrier I needed a break. A walk was in order. Here is the little girl image out for a walk in her Sunday best with her protector Mr Crow.

Art Creations Friday - Waiting for Spring

This week for Art Creations Friday we were given this sweet image of a little girl with bird in hand. I switched out the bird and immediately realized it was going to be all about the bird, the nest, and color was needed.

It is finally starting to warm up here. This dreadful cold spell is leaving. I am hoping that the weather people are right about the higher temperatures. Warm is good.

Art Creations Friday gave us this beautiful image of this little girl. I loved how patiently she was sitting with that lovely crown headdress on. Her cute little silk stockings just made the outfit. She must be the little flower girl in someone's wedding. Weddings are new beginnings. You open a whole new door to your life.

I decided to sit her on this window on a door. It was as if she was a little fairy just waiting to lead you through the door to something remarkable. If you believe in something enough it will often open all sorts of new doors for you. So here is my little door fairy. Waiting patiently to lead you to something wonderful. Just believe....

This week for the Art Creations Friday challenge we were given this beautiful Mediterranean woman image from Art Freebies. She reminds me of a fortune teller. I just sort of went from there. Wouldn't it be nice to know your fortune for the New Year? I guess that is part of the promise of the New Year. It can be anything you want to make it.

Art Creations Friday - Marilyn

This week's image was of Marilyn Monroe for Art Creations Friday. Wow. How hard is that. A face that has been named this century's six most recognized and sexy face. As Elton John so astutely sang she died way to young. Of all the "sex symbols" of this era I always liked her the best. She had that dumb girl yet know it all attitude. The thing I really liked the best was her sense of humor. I think she was very funny.

So, this is my entry to the challenge. I used a diamond for the background. A few extra images of Marilyn Monroe in her diamonds. One is from the movie "Diamonds are a Girl's best friend." Then a quote of hers. I really hope I did her justice...

I was not there for the first challenge so it was so much fun to get a chance to use this beautiful image. I decide to make this week's challenge all about you. I used two more of the images you have so kindly given us through the year. Tweaked the colors added an engraving and some script and here we are. This week for Art Creations Friday we were given this adorable little boy to work with. I believe it is one of Hermine's personal images. I thought he looked so cute with those chubby cheeks. The badminton racket is also another sweet touch. It is almost as big as he is. I thought back to my boys at this age and they were into riding things and throwing things. Add the racket and what do you get? Balls! So..here we are....

Art Creations Friday - She Dreamed of Home

This week for Art Creations Friday they gave us this wonderful background. It was so rich and full of texture I wanted to create a collage that would definitely compliment it. I took an old photo of a castle in Spain I took several years ago, an image from Leonardo Da Vinci, the robin and crown are from The Graphics fairy and the heart is the one I bought from Linda Eastman. I am thinking this young woman is more comfortable with nature than with people.

Art Creations Friday - Ugly Duckling

This weeks challenge on Art Creations Friday is the beautiful image of this young woman with her hat. You hardly ever see women wearing hats anymore unless they are ball caps with ponytails. None of the big romantic hats with lace and flowers. I think we just don't have the time. They were lovely though. I was somewhat challenged this week in that I am running on very little sleep, too many commitments and it goes on and on... A couple of arty friends pushed me to use some of their scrapbook elements to see if I could do a collage with them. I used their buttons and ribbon in this digital collage. It was fun. I really liked the scrap book paper for texture behind the whole collage.
