I am on the road again. Looking forward to traveling the backroads and seeing the sights.

On the Road Again...

This week I will be on the road.  I will be up in the mountains visiting a few kids and enjoying the beginning of fall.  I can not believe what a change in the weather we have experienced this weekend.  All of a sudden it is cool - in the 60's and I am wondering where my sweaters are.  Leaves are begining to fall and turn colors. I am hoping to find some delicious mountain apples. Hope you all have a great week.

On the Road Again...

On the road again... I am leaving Alabama after a wonder visit. It has been so much fun exploring the northern part of this state. Time to head to North Carolina though. I am missing my family and familar faces and places.

On the Road ...Again...

I am on the road again after a lovely stay in and around Charlotte North Carolina. I am off to the mountains, then to Virginia, through Tennessee and to visit Alabama. I have several photo cards for my camera and some fresh batteries so I am all set. Can't wait to explore some... Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

The terrible storms we had yesterday have passed here in the south. I leave today on another road trip. I am so looking forward to seeing my kids, family, and friends. I start seriously house hunting this month, also. I can not wait to see what lies ahead...

Yesterday I left my folks house and headed back to North Carolina. It was bittersweet. I have so much fun with my parents. I love D.C. and the cherry trees were beginning to get their blossoms. Yet, it was time. People to see and things to do. Nice Greek dinner last night with an old friend in Raleigh North Carolina. I landed at the beach today. I have missed the sounds and smells. My heart began to sing. Hope everyone is staying warm and dry...

On the Road....Again...

I am on the road again. I spent several days in Charlotte North Carolina visiting family this past week. No internet. One of my boys had to have some oral surgery. He needed his Mom to take care of him. Why is it no matter how old we get it is great to have our Mom there nursing us back to normal? Let's just say I doled out a lot of medicine, made ice packs, moist heat compresses, and cooked "soft" food and gave out "clear" liquids. All is well now.

I left yesterday for the Mountains of North Carolina to see a couple of my other boys. The weather has been so spring like. Last time I was in the mountains there was lots of snow.

I am off this weekend on another trip through Northern Alabama,Tennessee and Georgia. I am making my way back to North Carolina to see my boys, friends, and family. Here is one of the sights! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. [Picture taken with my iphone.]

On the Road Again...

Hoping everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Mine was very relaxing and full of fabulous food. It is always so nice to come home to Mom and Dad and so sad to leave. Monday meant it was time to get on the road again. Time to head East for the ocean. Along the way I am going to try and stop at the Pocosin Lake Wildlife Refuge and see the migrating swans and geese. I have a couple of cards for my camera, fully charged batteries, and a full tank of gas.

Can't wait to get there. You might have experienced part of it yourself - the movie - The Notebook with James Gardner has a scene where young Jim Gardner takes his love out in a row boat to see the geese. There are hundreds of them. Well, that is where I am heading. I will check in later with pictures!
