Freebies - Courrier & Ives - Ladies

Abigail

She is so demure. Hard to believe this is from the 1830's. I think I saw a girl wearing a similar dress to the prom about a month ago.

Helen
Love the beautiful face on this one. Stunning isn't she?

Louisa
This is one of my favorites. I would wear that dress. She is gorgeous.

Susan
Love the border and the way the curtain sort of frames the whole scene. Can you imagine braiding your hair like that?

I spent a good part of the week scanning, downloading, and cleaning up about two hundred Currier and Ives prints that someone very generously gave me. They belonged to a family member of a friend who had no use for all of them. These date from 1830 to 1870. What beauties they are. Besides these individual images I made a couple of collage sheets for you. Enjoy!

Thanks so much Elizabeth, your freebies are wonderful examples. I just love your blog and the volume of work that you put out. How do you get it all done and daily chores also?

I never sleep - or sleep very little. I do a lot before most of the world is awake.
