Gothic Arch Set

Set one

Set Two

These are a couple of Gothic Arch sets I have been working on lately. I decided to do a few sets to get the feel of the space and I had these lovely women just hanging around my studio. As some of you know I am new to Gothic Arches. I have discovered that they are good for travel. I usually do ATC's when I travel, but the Gothic Arch has turned into a favorite.

I cut out the arch. Then laid down some text. Lightly covered the text with gesso. When the gesso was dry I inked it with either a pale pink or antique linen. Stamped some. Made the border with my handy black sharpie paint pen. Then applied the women, birds and the final text. I hope you will click on then to really see them.

Elizabeth, two beautiful sets of arches. I enlarged and saw the little 'asides' which make them extremely amusing too. Bravo.

These are gorgeous. Sometimes I see something and think, "oh, that's pretty." And sometimes I see something and think

THAT'S SOOOOOO PRETTY!!!!

Your arches are in the second category.

You have given me so much inspiration with your ATCs and have been so generous with the images from the past. I just wanted to thank you for all you are giving us for inspiration. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

I love these, Elizabeth! I've posted a link to our TreasureArtTrends group to see if anyone wants to emulate you and do a chunky book or ATC swap based on your idea. http;//groups.yahoo.com/group/treasurearttrends
