ATC's with the Citra Solv Backgrounds...

This background reminded me so much of the swirling motion of the ocean. The girl is from Paper Whimsy.

The background here is rather dark and mysterious, sort of like the guy. I used some decorative tape and the labels are from Art Chix.

The background here reminds me of the painting Starry Night by Van Gogh.

The girl is from Paper Whimsy. I used my Derwent Inktense pencils over the background to add some color. I lightly used my water brush to blend.

Thought I would share some finished pieces using the Citra Solv backgrounds. I used them solely as backgrounds. I am still playing and experimenting with them. I will share more results as I go along ...

Neat to see what you did with those backgrounds. I keep meaning to get some citrasolv. I love the "smart girl" image. She's great!

I tried the citra solv over a year ago, and liked the results. I think you've inspired me to do it again. I'll have to break out those National Geographics I'm holding onto.

You've inspired me once again, Elizabeth! I've asked my husband to look for Citra Solv while he's out shopping this morning. I'd never heard of the technique and hopped on over to the Citra Solv website. The pics in their art gallery blew me away, as well as the fabric transfers. Your atc's are awesome! Hugs, Terri xoxo

See all the really great, Elizabeth! I am enthusiastic about the backgrounds. Is this a secret, how to do that?

I guess I'll have to get some CitaSolve and play with backgrounds, too. At a local art fair I saw some nice work by a man who glues his CS background to panels and transfers simple collages of silhouettes of natural images to the paper. Very effective.
Your collages are wonderful!

These are wonderful ATCs due in no small part to the backgrounds. I must read your previous post and see how you've done them, never heard of this process before.

I have a bad case of citrasolv envy because they don't sell it in Canada apparently. If someone knows differently, please let me know???

In the meantime I'll just drool over these Elizabeth and the creative way you've used them. The colors are beautiful.
