Digital Collage - The Gatherer
Thought we would start out the week with a little digital collage. I am starting to feel the spirit of the season. Hope everyone had a beautiful Fall weekend. [hat by Paper Whimsy]
Several people had asked me about the background of this piece. I painted the background, scanned into my computer, then played with it in Photo Shop adding several other layers till I liked it.

Hope all is well.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs,

This is a gorgeous background Elizabeth. Did you paint it or do it digitally? Love the faint writing on the bottom. Happy beautiful fall weekend!

The back ground I painted, then scanned, and then added a few more layers to. Hope this answers your question Sharon.
Wonderful. Love the colors.
Very mysterious and just a little spooky!
I love this time of the year!!! So festive...brings back the child of the 1960's! beautiful image. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
Thank you so much Mary Helen. This is such a beautiful time of year. The colors are inspiring.
Love the colours Elizabeth!!
Thanks Leanne! You know I am in love with color.
I love your Gatherer Elizabeth. Her background is fantastic. Pen x
Just beautiful, Elizabeth. A little ghostly, a little eerie, a little like one of those bright and dark October days.
And that flourish is to die for...
Ohhhh, Elizabeth! She's lovely!!! And I love those rare blue pumpkins in her basket!!!! Hugs, Terri xoxoxo
Beautiful work Elizabeth - it is rare to be able to combine a vintage image like this with the halloween 'theme' but you did it seamlessly!
I hope the mail arrived for you?
Best for the weekend!
wow, she certainly gathered my attention. now I have a bit more insight about your digital work - all of your art is stellar, of course - isn't it nice to sit (or recline) with a computer - especially when you have been through such a trauma!!
I can't tell you how much your post meant to me and I'll bet you get it indeed! being sidelined suddenly is not the ideal; however, it does have a way of creating invaluable inner change. I call this my 'journey' even though some days feel like a dead end - ha. making art is my salvation and sanity.
thanks again for posting such beautiful words!
best wishes with your rehab and please keep me 'posted.' :)
Well, you know how I love backgrounds and I certainly love this one. I don't know, are you sure she isn't a zettite and that's her usual hat? lololsnort :)Bea
