Art Creations Friday - Ugly Duckling

This weeks challenge on Art Creations Friday is the beautiful image of this young woman with her hat. You hardly ever see women wearing hats anymore unless they are ball caps with ponytails. None of the big romantic hats with lace and flowers. I think we just don't have the time. They were lovely though. I was somewhat challenged this week in that I am running on very little sleep, too many commitments and it goes on and on... A couple of arty friends pushed me to use some of their scrapbook elements to see if I could do a collage with them. I used their buttons and ribbon in this digital collage. It was fun. I really liked the scrap book paper for texture behind the whole collage.

I love what you have created for this challenge, Elizabeth! It is so beautiful, as always. You will be happy to know I wear hats at least once or twice a month to go out to dinner or breakfast with a group of ladies. We call ourselves the purple pixies.., which reminds me I have to find a pixie image somewhere now that I think of it. Well,we all dress up, and tho our hats are not as lovely as this one is, most have brims, some wider than others....are you smiling?? (grin)...hugs, Gayle.

Hi Elizabeth,
How true is this saying and what a lovely way to say it.

Thanks for visiting my blog. It was totally serendipitous that I found Jane's workshop. Sometimes the stars are in the right place!

How did I miss this gorgeous piece? And I wouldn't have wanted to miss Gayle's comments either! Both are keepers.
