Digital Collage - The Farm

This digital collage sort of fits the mood we have had around here for the past week or so. I am not one to rant a lot about my private life, but last week something happened here that just sort of blew the air right out of me. I can't really go into a bunch of detail as the boys in blue are handling it, but it did sort of erode my faith in people and the way that some of this new generation of kids seems to feel themselves so entitled. Do not misunderstand I truly believe most of the kids walking out among us are just good kids, but there are some that have never been accountable for anything they have done. These are the ones that scare me and that we are dealing with right now. Our "wa" around here is definitely disturbed. More later...

This is a very atmospheric piece of work. I am sorry to hear that you have had an unpleasant time. And, thank you for the recipe.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're dealing with a lot of unpleasantness, and it sounds as though there's a touch of fear too. So disturbing. I'm offering a prayer to The Father of All Creation that your world will be "righted" and peace restored soon. Blessings, Jean. Terri xoxo

This is a wonderful piece Elizabeth and I suspect the darkness of it all reflects well the problems you're having. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this mess... and I wish you well.

How sad and moody the house looks and no doubt you are feeling that way too. I am sorry to hear that life has taken a bad turn and hope that it brightens soon, Thinking of you,

Love this but then you KNOW how I love old barns. Yeah, I've had my dealings with "kids". It always left me feeling sad that they would even think to do what they did.
Hope you get over this quickly and get back to feeling better. :)Bea

I hope everything will be okay, Elizabeth--we've had a couple encounters--nothing major, but it can be scary.

Thinking of you as you deal with unpleasantness. Every time I think I've seen it all I'm proven wrong. And it makes me so very sad too. My prayers are with you and all involved.

Hugs,
Theresa

This is a wonderful digital piece Elizabeth -- very sombre.
You know -- kids doing things with no repercussions starts in Kindergarten. I am often shocked at what parents let their children get away with. I try to teach children respect (for themselves, each other, for property, for animals), but without the support of parents, there is only so much that I can do.... and then all of a sudden the kids are troubled teenagers and the parents are in denial -- but the kindergarten teacher could have predicted it. So sad......

This is a lovely piece. Something beautiful grew out of the nastiness that you are having to deal with. I am so sorry about that. Hope that it will be handled soon. Have courage.

This is a beautiful image. My 90 year old uncle is a well known oil painter and in his early days he painted barn after barn after barn. They were almost always dark and haunting. Thank you for sharing this piece and for uncovering memories I forgot I had.

As for the troubles, I wish you well. And, I wish that the kids assume the responsibility and right their lives. We can wish, can't we?

I hope things are getting better...I once lived next door to a teenaged boy that made our lives hell for a short period of time....It was the most frustating time and the parents were defensive and clueless....it all worked out in the end though....

I love this collage, if you feel as dark as this looks, Oh my dear friend, I am sorry.
Yes, there are great kids, that have respect, kindness, truth, and fair play. But like all generations, we have those that do what they want when they want without a care in the world...they need help, but there are to few adults that really care. Mostly they just want them to stay out of their hair. I will be thinking of you! Hugs, Mary

I do hope your 'situation' gets resolved quickly. Times sure have changed and we have been dealing with something of (I suspect), a similar nature for 5 months now. I think it's the knock-on effect it all has. So tiring... take care. =)
