Digital Collages

Love her collar and the lace around her neck.

Doesn't she look fearless standing there

Those eyes

Sisters -  Friends for life
She looks like she is ready to go conquer the world

Today I scanned some backgrounds I created with my phone and some paint into my printer. From there I scanned them into my computer. I then scanned some Cabinet Cards from

my printer into my computer. From there I made these digital collages.

Lots of fun to play with. The backgrounds were pure play and fun. Something I needed on a dreary day. Hope you

enjoy them.

Cabinet Card Couple Freebies....

A young dapper looking couple.

This couple looks like they have worked very hard for everything they have.

They look very relaxed with each other and themselves. Love his mustache.

They look somewhat uptight. Maybe it is the clothes. Maybe it is that they do not know each other that well?

They look like they have known each other forever. I am always amazed when I see older couples like this. I wonder what stories they could tell me about all the things they have witnessed...

Thought you might appreciate a few freebies. With Valentine's day just around the corner I thought some cabinet cards of couples would be in order. I already see a few cards you could make with these for your sweeties.

Freebies - Cabinet Cards

During the Holidays I was able to get out and go antiquing a bit. One of my sons is furnishing his new digs and has become quite the flea market, antique and thrift store fan. He actually suggested we should go look for some things. Boy did that warm my heart. In one of the shops I found a large basket of cabinet cards and spent a relaxing half hour rummaging through them. I thought I would share a few of them with you.

Don't you just love her striped dress and wire rim eyeglasses? She looks like a school teacher.

The widow. I am always amazed when I find these photos. This was probably taken on the one year anniversary, at the cemetery where her loved one is resting.

Two sisters? probably not. More than likely sister in laws. There is no facial resemblance. I do like their practical dresses though.

Is this just not the cutest baby? I love the wicker chair they have him in along with the large gingham check pillow. I just thought this was so cute.

Speaking of cute... Look at this fellow in his kilt. I love this type of picture. I think they are so wonderful. I bet this guy had that deep red hair and blue eyes. I found this in with the baby in the wicker chair group.

Of course I had to have this picture. I cannot resist these school pictures. I just love the way the kids personalities shine through. I hope you enjoy these as much as I have!

Familiy Freebies

November is a month we start to concentrate on Family and all the things we are thankful for. I thought I would share some family type photos as my freebies this week.

A very important day. I am thinking Mother's Day or maybe this young girl is off to meet her future husband. Her father is very proud of her. They share more than just their looks. Mother is a little too practical.

Here the young girl is years later with all of her in- laws, husband and son. Recognize her? She is the one in the second row second from the left with the little boy. I can't help wondering if she is wondering how she got there.

Ahh the young couple ready to begin their own family. He looks extremely amused. She is the more serious of the two. The bead work on her dress is lovely. I believe it is one of those pieces that is tacked on and then removed when the dress is laundered. In some of my flea marketing I have run across a couple of these bead pieces. They are wonderful.

This family from Iowa looks very disconnected. Father looking in a separate direction while the two women stare straight on at the photographer. I wonder what could possibly been so important that the father would not engage in the whole process.

I really love this Texas family. What pioneers they must have been to have seven children. The mother and father look so young. I am pretty sure there were more kids. This photograph is definitely not in the most pristine condition. I like the yellow color and all the fading. It has possibilities. I think the thing I like the most is how well taken care of each child is. The boys hair all combed and the little girls dresses are so pretty, I think that thing in front of them might be a dog.

Freebies #10 from Texas

Watching all the hurricane and tropical storm warnings on the television made me think of Texas and the Gulf of Mexico. So this week I pulled out a bunch of photos from Texas. The first four are the Willson kids - also spelled Wilson - from Taylor Texas. The baby is Katherine and the other two are Lizzie and Lena. The last photo is from Houston an I wondered about the cabinet card photo of the little girl sitting on the chair with the young child. I hope you can use some of these.

Freebies #6

A few little ones for you to use in your personal art work. I think a lot of people have babies on the mind this time of year. Families are getting together to vacation, going to weddings, traveling to see loved ones, or waiting the arrival of a little one. So embrace the little ones in your life! They grow up too fast.

In Honor of Father's Day - Men Freebies

Any one who is around me for long has the realization that I am crazy about my Dad. He is one of finest men I have ever known. The love my parents show each other is rarely seen. I have been blessed having these two people as my role models. So in honor of my Dad and to get everyone thinking about Father's Day here are some freebies.
