August Magazine Cover Freebies - Finally

Thought I would start out with my favorite for this month. Ah, where did this month go? I love the whimsy of this one. I think summer and vacations should be full of wonder.

Look closely at this one. She has this long sleeve coat? dress? [I am sure the judges from Project Runway would have something to say about this... ] in the middle of August and she is renting a swimsuit. Ugh! Go buy your own, get out of that outfit and enjoy a good read at the beach! Summer is almost over.

This looks like August in California to me. Unfortunately, it also means the start of the wildfire season. I love the simplicity of this one.

I can not imagine going to the beach so covered up. Here at the beach I do see many people I wish would cover up more... but the long dress and the long sleeves seem so uncomfortable. I would have heat stroke in no time.

I thought I would post these as my first freebies since getting out of the hospital and rehab. It feels so good to be home! I still am not able to go up the stairs to my studio, sewing room, and computer. However, a friend moved my external hard drive with some of my images on it downstairs for me this weekend. I now have a laptop downstairs so that I can catch up on my email, groups, and can finally post on my blog. I miss you all! and I hope you enjoy these freebies.

July Magazine Covers

Here are some Magazine cover's for your journal or art work. I can not believe it is July already. Where have the days gone?

This is one of my favorite covers for this month. How very clever to use firecrackers to spell out the letters. Harper's is one of my favorites. They always have such good graphics.

What is the Fourth without a few fireworks. When the boys were younger we planned our beach week around the Fourth just so I could take them to see all the firework shows. A nice dinner and fireworks will always bring back fond memories.

I had to include this one. I think they are after a little lizard in that bush. At least my kitties find the lizards in my plants outside. We always have a few tail less lizards running around. Again great graphics on this one.

I am hoping we get more rain in July than we did in June. Happily we had the nicest rain yesterday afternoon on into the morning. Everything feels so fresh and clean.

Isn't she a beauty? I have seen more people walking around with the coolest umbrella's to keep the sun's rays off of them this summer than ever before.

Last but not least this cute one. I am supposing that this little boy frightened her with a fire cracker. It is rather unsettling to have one land by you. One Fourth at Myrtle Beach a group of kids were throwing them out a window onto the passing crowd. One landed right by me - scared me to death. I hope everyone has a safe and fun Fourth of July Weekend!!

Junes Magazine Cover - Freebies

This one has fabulous graphics. Harper's always has such great themes for their covers.

Hard to believe it is June already! So much happens this month. Congrats to all the grads out there and their families.

This is one of my favorite morning pleasures. A nice ride.

Ah! The Ladies Book club. I seriously suggest joining one. Friends are made and good books are read.

Thought I should end with another boat scene. Summer is about boating, beaching, and reading. Family and friends, gardening, and finding a moment to relax with the longer day.

Hope you are enjoying them as much as I am. Hope you are all off to lovely week!

Montly Magazine Covers - May

This does not really need any words it is so great!

Love the feel to this one. Very graphic, very romantic all at the same time.

Thought this would be fun to include in a journal. A little photo shopping could be fun with this piece.

I am late, I am late, I have been slow to post this week. Probably because by night time I am collapsing in my favorite chair and unable to move. Also I am experiencing wifi problems at night. One of the local news casters live across the street and she streams some pretty heavy satellite stuff at night to get ready for her show. My wi fi carrier is trying to work something out with her...

April & Easter - Magazine Covers

I love this one. Her classic skirt and blouse. The umbrella symbolizing April Showers. The graphics are great!

She looks as if she is about to emerge from an egg. She is so classic. The bold red graphics in this one are great!

I through this one in just because these little ones remind me so much of "our girl". The blond hair the hint of mischief. Plus I just love the graphics in this one.

The colors in this are great. I love how she is releasing the butterflies. I actually went to a wedding where they did this after the vows were said. It was way cool.

These lads look like they just came back from their tax accountant. Ugh, the down side of April.

I am so sorry I did not get these up sooner. I have been on the road all week and it has been exhausting. This weekend is all about relaxing, good food and those I love. Thought you might be able to use them in your art or journal.

February Magazine Freebies

January with all of it's storms has been so cold. I am hoping February will be a little warmer. I love this woman's muff and how she has the flowers on her coat. A reminder that spring is not too far away.

I hope all of the letters are Valentines for this lovely lady. She is so pretty.

I love the graphics on this one. The flowers and her profile against them are fabulous.
I hope he has remembered to send his Valentines out early!

She looks so elegant in her large hat and scarf.

Here are February's magazine pages. I love printing these out and using them in my journals. It helps me remember the month I have been writing in when I go back nd look through my journals. The graphics are so great , it makes a beautiful beginning....

Welcome December - Freebies

Welcome December. Can you believe it is December? Where did the year go? I am in shock. I am starting the month with these lovely magazine covers. They are so much fun and have so many possibilities.

She is rushing home before the storm. Just one more thing to pick up before she can relax and start worrying about the Holiday food. She just couldn't resist that art magazine.

I am feeling this couple is a little cold and can't wait to get home for a hot toddy or cocoa. They have spent the day at Rockefeller center watching them put up the giant Christmas tree and then ice skating the afternoon away. He is feeling a little miffed because everyone keeps calling his wife his daughter.

I am hoping this gentlemen is off buying something wonderful for his wife. Maybe a piece of art, a painting, or some art supplies to fill her studio with.

Freebies - November

I think she is checking the Tom turkey to see if he is plump enough. I guess we are going to have to start thinking turkey pretty soon. Yum, and pies...

A day at the races or is it just a day of amusement. Give yourself and your special someone a day...just for the two of you this month. It might surprise you both.

November is the month that family and friends start to visit. So, clean up the public rooms in your house and buy something special even if it is just a few candles to set the mood. Remember everything does not have to be perfect and ask for help.

Games are in the air. Football season is upon us like a Mack truck. This is the time to get out the crock pot and make a few soups or a hearty stew. You can get in some art time while they dose in front of the game.

Here are this months magazine covers. I am really enjoying using them in my journal. The graphics are so wonderful. They remind me that less is more sometimes. November brings us an extra hour, cooler weather, warmer clothes, and wonderful meals with friends and family.

Freebies #32 - Magazine Covers

This week's freebies came to me as I stood at Barnes and Nobles this morning and they rung up three magazines for almost fifty dollars. Whew! The woman who ran me up said something to the effect of how she remembered buying several magazines for less than a dollar when she was growing up for her Mom.

Her Mom would send her to the drugstore to pick up the latest "rags". Not wanting anyone to see her buying some of them she would send her daughter. I mentioned I would love to have some of those magazine now. The covers and ad's had such wonderful images and graphics on them. It is so sad how some of the magazines are going out of business. So here I am posting some of those covers for you. I hope you will enjoy them.
